The Prahran Cricket Club mourns the passing of former First Eleven player, Trevor Rush. An elegant right hand batsman, Trevor represented the First Eleven on 57 occasions between 1963/64 and 1972/73 wearing cap number 315.
Trevor was one of seven of the Rush family to play in the Firsts with our great club and has made it clear to family and friends that he wishes for the seven caps he has collected to be handed on to PCC for future keeping. A most wonderful gesture.
Trevor was an outstanding all round sportsman playing Australian Rules football, tennis and golf. He won the Competition goal kicking in the Yarra Valley Football League representing Woori Yallock Football Club, played tennis for Grace Park Hawthorn Tennis Club in Hawthorn, of which he served time as President, and he loved his golf of which he was a member for decades of the Kew Golf Club. Trevor enjoyed his visits to Toorak Park to see our First Eleven play amongst his busy sporting activities.
Our deepest sympathy is expressed to the Rush family.
Vale Trevor Rush
