Congratulations to the Women's Premier Firsts who accounted for favourites Box Hill last Saturday to become T20 Premiers for 2016/17.

Despite Box Hill's strong line-up skipper Emma Inglis elected to put the Mustangs in to bat after winning the toss. The decision seemed the right one when star bat Meg Lanning was caught for 2 off Tara Norris's second delivery.

After that early blow Box Hill struggled to gain momentum and could only reach 7/90 off their 20 overs.

Tara Norris was the star with the ball with 3/22 off her four overs, including the prize scalps of the Lanning sisters.

Other wicket takers were Gemma Triscari (1/10), Alana King (1/14), and Bronwyn Daws (1/21). Emma Inglis took three catches behind the stumps.

In reply, the True Blues lost Naomi Dattani early for 4 but a 70 run second-wicket partnership between Emma Inglis (48 off 32) and Tara Norris (30 not out off 40) sealed the match and Prahran passed Box Hill's total with five overs still left to play, finishing on 3/92.

Player of the match was Tara Norris with 3/22 and 30 not out.

Congratulations all on a fantastic effort.
