Congratulations to our star performers on Day 1 of the final round versus Casey-South Melbourne.

Rowan Bricker batted all day at Casey Fields to compile a career-best 162 not out. He stroked 21 fours and faced 271 balls to anchor the 2nds 352/9 declared, including a 145 run 8th wicket partnership with Jason McNally (72).

Sam Coates featured in six dismissals as the True Blues pace trio of Matt Wilcox (4/33), Adam Hutton (3/17) and Evan Gulbis (2/13) consistently found edges from the Swan's batsmen.

Rehn Smith (5/16 off 11) and Ajay Bhatt (5/27 off 15) ran through the Casey -SM 3rds to dismiss them for 48. Nick Blaich smashed a season-best 87, including nine 4's and three 6's to put the 3rds in a strong position at 6/221 dec to press home claims for a finals position next week.

The 4ths put in a solid team performance to bowl out Casey for 206 with Liam Brown (3/25), Tom Officer (2/33) and Nathan Caton-Robertson (2/37) the multiple wicket takers.

So with all teams in positions to push for wins, next week should present an intriguing day of cricket.
