The Prahran Cricket Club mourns the sad passing of former Senior Coach, Kevyn Harwood.

To his wife Phillis, daughter Jeanette, son Peter and immediate family members, we offer our deepest sympathy and condolences.

Kevyn, who in his professional life was a long serving teacher at Melbourne Grammar School, had a unique ability to

demonstrate and coach players on technique and approach to the game of cricket that made many of them fine players.

Two of these  players represented Australia in Dav Whatmore and Julien Wiener, Brad Green captained the Australian Under 19 side plus outstanding Prahran players such as Owen Mottau and Peter Grant together with many more, all learnt from this student of our great game.

Kevyn also reached out to many of the lads under his charge during the 70’s with outstanding and compassionate “fatherly” advice, off the field, when needed.

Prahran Cricket Club  expresses sincere thanks to the contribution given by Kevyn Harwood, 91 years of age.
