A huge congratulations to club Life Member and match scorer Karl Hieser who scored his 500th match for the True Blues yesterday.
In the absence of regular scorer James Higgs, Karl scored for the club First Eleven in their match against Frankston Peninsula at the AH Butler Oval.
Karl arrived at our club in 1991 after responding to an ad placed in the local paper by the then Club Secretary, David Jukes. He scored his first game in the Second Eleven match against Richmond and has gone on to only miss two playing days of cricket in the 30 years since.
His record stands at:
A truly remarkable achievement from a dedicated and loyal club person.
Karl was award life membership of the club in recognition of his long-standing service in April 2020.
He also received the Higgins Community Volunteer Award in 2019.
Fantastic achievements Karl. You are a True Blues legend!
