Their efforts are absolutely amazing, they are brilliant people with fantastic personalities which add to the atmosphere of the evenings and we hope that they will continue what has become a great Prahran tradition for many years to come.
Here are some tributes from long time happy customers,
“A special Sledger Salute to Annie and Michael Murphy who have prepared meals for the PCC members for over 5 years. Every thursday evening before the beginning of a new round Annie and Michael cook up the best meals in town. With a raised index finger to the sky we say thank you for your efforts they are greatly appreciated.” Steve DeBolfo
"The Murphy's have been great supporters of the Club for many years - whether it be cheering our on-field performances, helping out on the Committee or assisting with the website. And of course their Thursday Night dinners are legendary - I'm particularly grateful that even when they cook up a curry, they always have something else on offer that satisfies my sensitive taste buds!" Mark "Ice Man" Nelson
"Never was so much owed by so many to so few’. Well maybe I am overcooking it a little in stealing Winston’s line – but definitely a quote such as this one is not out of place when wanting to thank Annie and Michael for their selflessness and commitment to the Prahran Cricket Club and its players. Without one hint of exaggeration, I can safely say that the Thursday Night dinners put on by Annie and Michael for all comers to the club, have been the most important off field activity in all my time at PCC. The positivity and mateship that an institution such as this breeds is vital to a cricket club. For longer than I can remember now, Annie and Michael have given and sacrificed for the PCC via their Thursday night dinners, but also have been willing to lend a hand around the place in whichever way required. I speak for the whole club when I say: Thankyou so very very much Annie and Michael. We all appreciate your efforts more than can be said, and hope you never EVER feel like you are taken for granted! PS: Keep the curries coming!!! PPS: A coverall apology for any plates left on the table." Ash Hawley
