Prahran has beaten Richmond in tonight's Cricket Victoria's Primary Edge Twenty20 Cup competition at the Punt Road oval and have now advanced to the Quarter Finals to be played on Tuesday, 15th January 2008.

Led by Mark Harrison (65 off 41 balls, 3 x fours, 4 x sixes) and Neil Schlittler (53 6 x fours, 3 x sixes) with late support from Michael Rosendale (23, 2 x sixes), Prahran were dismissed for 179, and  in reply Richmond could only manage 159, thanks to superb bowling from Neil Schlittler (3/12) and Brad Rossborough (3/24).

Prahran, who finished on top of the qualifying round ladder, will now play Footscray-Edgewater at Toorak Park on Tuesday evening, 15th January 2008.

The Prahran Cricket Club team was:
Matthew Harrison (Capt.), Neil Schlittler, Vinay Parikh, Jack Jarvis, Mark Harrison, Stephen Seymour, Adam Drinkwell, Matthew Partington, Michael Rosendale, Grant Chessari and Brad Rossborough, with Hafis Matthews (12th man).

Interestingly, all clubs that included celebrity players into their team for these qualifying matches did not make the Quarter Finals.
