Attention this week turns to the Cricket Victoria Pathways Under 16 and Under 14 Championships following the completion of the Under 18 Championships.  And again there are a number of boys participating who are currently playing at the Prahran Cricket Club.

Under 16 Victorian Pathways Championships.
Premier Cricket club 1st and 2nd XI grounds are hosting these championships from the 15th to 19th January 2007.  Prahran CC have two players participating in these championships.  They are:
Jarred Allan  (South East Seagulls,  from Moorabbin CC)
Jarryd Murrian  (Southern Rangers,  from Buckley Ridges CC).
The Southern Rangers squad is being coached by Ken Davis (Toorak Park CC) who is a regular at Prahran CC and one of the clubs respected junior coaches.
As well, Michael Singh, younger brother of Steven, is a member of the South East Seagulls squad.

The Southern Rangers vs South East Country Sharks match is to be played at Toorak Park on Monday, 15th January 2007 commencing at 10:00am.

Under 14 Victorian Pathways Championships.
These championships are being held at Premier Cricket club 3rd and 4th XI grounds on the 15th to 19th January 2007, with two current Prahran CC players particpating in the championships.  They are:
Lachlan Boyd  (Southern Rangers,  from Beaumaris CC)
Joshua Allen  (Southern Rangers,  Dingley CC).
First XI opener Brendan McGuinness is coach of the Southern Rangers squad for these championships.

The Quarter Final #6 match is scheduled to be played at Toorak Park on Thursday, 18th January 2007 commencing at 10:00am.

Unfortunately, Cricket Victoria's Game Development Department and a number of the Regional Cricket Managers don't seem to realise the importance of providing information on the results and performances of their team and a number of results and performances from club members are yet to be obtained.  A very poor attitude from these people who are charged with developing and promoting cricket in this state.
