As the legendary US football coach Vince Lombadi had a want to say: "What the hell is going on here!"
And well may many of the spectators at Toorak Park and other venues watching the Prahran teams take up the challenge against current Cricket Victoria powerhouse club Ringwood, and even more so for those reading the scores from this afternoons matches in the metro dailies over the weekend.
What they saw, heard and read can only be classed as a (red) blue letter day for Prahran.
James Wild led the charge with his maiden 1st XI century, enroute to his highest ever scre of 167, and with an unlucky 99 to Andrew Devenish posted teh second highest openin stand for the Club, as the team amassed 419 runs in a day. Down at Como Park at the 3rd XI match, Jack Jarvis was belting the ball to all parts of the picturesque oval, eventualy dismissed for sensational 197, while out at Ringwood's Jubilee Park #2 oval, Andrew Hone was unbeaten on 119, his first century for the Club in the 4th XI match.
