The AA Horneman Memorial Trophy is awarded annually to the best playing clubman.

Arthur Horneman was a left-hand opening batter who played 72 Firsts XI matches with Prahran during the 1930s and 40s. Arthur was club coach during the late 60s through to the mid 70s and then became Chairman of Selectors. Sadly, Arthur passed away in 1977.

Arthur always said to players to not only play for the club, but just as importantly, be a good club person and involve yourself in the club.
