Seeking a Junior Development Coach for our Women's Program

About Us

The True Blues compete in Cricket Victoria’s Premier Cricket men’s and women’s cricket competitions. The women’s program fields three senior teams in the Premier Cricket Competition and three youth teams (U15 Development Squad, U15 Marg Jennings Cup and U18 Premier Team).

The Role

The Junior Development Coach will be responsible for building a supportive and cohesive environment that promotes growth and development with the junior talent and the Women’s Third Eleven playing group. This role will report into the Head Coach and work closely with the coaching group to deliver a strong premier cricket program aligned to Prahran Cricket Clubs strategy.

Key Duties

  • Main focus will be on developing the junior talent within the program (U15’s, U18’s) programs

  • Game day coach for Women’s Third Eleven

  • Junior talent scout / mentor

  • Identify and develop junior leaders within the program

  • Provide regular updates on player development in conjunction with the Head Coach

  • Attendance at all scheduled sessions and games

  • Willingness to support and attend club functions

  • Be a part of a coaching network that includes professional development opportunities

  • Facilitate consistent communication between players and club.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum Level 1 (Cricket Australia) with a willingness to further upskill.

  • Working with Children Check (current)

  • Previous coaching experience at a club level

  • Effective communication style and experience building team environments.
