We are delighted to announce the appointment of Carl Sandri as our Head of Female Cricket.

This new role will oversee the development and delivery of the club’s female coaching and player development program.

Carl Sandri

Carl has a long association with both the male and female programs at Prahran. He was our Senior Women’s Coach for six seasons between 2016/17 to 2020/21 and also played and coached in our men’s T20 programs.

He brings a passion for coaching and high performance development and a wealth of experience to the role. By way of his Italian heritage, Carl represented Italy between 2012 to 2017 in the ICC World T20 championships. He also has international coaching experience from a stint as the coach of the New Guinea national cricket team from 2021-22, where he coached them to their maiden World Cup appearance at the 2021 ICC  World T20 Cup in the Middle East.

Carl will be supported by Stefan Lidstrom who will become the Senior Women’s Coach while continuing as the Female U18 coach.

Matt Balmer continues as the Female Development Coach and will coach our U15 Marg Jennings Cup squad.

Jimmy Seeary will assist Matt with the Development Squad and Stefan with the Female U18s while also taking on some match day coaching duties.

We are also very pleased to retain Jennifer Taffs as a specialist coach alongside Tim White, who will also be assisting with the male program.
