We are pleased to announce Merinda Hale as our First Eleven captain for 2025/26.

Merinda enters her seventh season in the top grade, having made her First Eleven debut way back in 2018/19 as cap number 55.

Since then, the hard-hitting batter has accumulated 1,474 club runs from her 91 matches at an average of 19.39 and a highest score of 111 against Plenty Valley last February. She also has another ton and five 50's to her credit. And she can bowl a bit too, as her 43 wickets indicate.

Merinda has always generously given her time and energy to the club, and it is wonderful to see a home-grown player develop the skills and experience to lead the women's section.

Merinda's appointment comes on the back of her winning the Kath Hempenstall Award for best club woman last season and her representation in the Victorian Indigenous team at the last National Championships.

Congratulations Merinda and we wish you all the best for a successful season ahead.
